If you like to spend time in the outdoors, there is an abundance of things to do on and off Siesta Key to keep you active. In addition to walking the beach, and biking, there is boating, fishing, parasailing, jet skiing, golf, and tennis.

Tennis
When making your room reservations, you will find that many of the Siesta Key accommodations have their own tennis courts. The Siesta Key Public Beach also has lighted tennis courts that are free to the public.

Fishing
If your idea of a perfect vacation includes fishing, then Siesta Key is the spot for you. Whether you want to fish in the bay or the Gulf, from a pier or in a boat, the fishing holes are as varied as the type of fish you will catch. If you want to rent a boat or take an excursion with a captain, you will find a day on the water as breathtaking as catching the “big one”. Some of the fish you may catch in our waters include Cobia, Flounder, Grouper, Redfish, Snapper and Snook, to name a few.
Please note that a fishing license is required, and you can get one at any sporting goods store.

Golf
With its mild year-round climate, and abundance of area golf courses, Sarasota is the perfect place to take in a round of golf. The courses are beautifully manicured, and provide a sanctuary for native wildlife. No matter what your skill level or handicap, you will find our local golf courses to be both challenging and fun. Sarasota, along with neighboring Bradenton, boasts a number of public, semi-private and private golf courses.

Cruise Sarasota Bay’s intercoastal waters or venture out into the Gulf of Mexico on our new Yamaha Wave Runners! Drive your own at 18 yrs. with Boater Safety Course License, 21 yrs. with valid driver’s license. 14 yrs. and older can drive with an adult on the ski. Parent must be present to sign.
